When I first spoke to Caroline on the phone she emphasized that her and Vincent really wanted someone laid back and chill to photograph their wedding day. Weddings can be stressful with so many moving parts and people so I absolutely understand why that was on their list. I work with a very go with the flow attitude and never take things too seriously so this sounded perfect to me!
Caroline and Vincent had their wedding in their own backyard in Northern Massachusetts. This backyard ceremony was absolutely done perfectly. Their setup was beautiful. On their property is a large barn that was outfitted for cocktail hour and a bar. Just outside of the barn was Bar-B-Q Express and their catering setup. They were already cooking when I showed up and smelling it all made waiting for meals pretty torturous lol.
There was a large tent for dining or if weather decided to take a turn, which for an August day could mean anything. We lucked out with a 70 degree August day - can't get much better!
Their ceremony wasn't too long, but had so much emotion packed into it. Standing at the back of their property in front of tall trees and ferns was a pretty perfect place to tie the knot.
After the ceremony we took a stroll through a neighbors yard, with permission, for some portraits. After that we wandered down to the lake nearby and shot a bit more down there. It was such a fun time working with Caroline and Vincent!
Back at the reception things were kicking off with E.C.F. Entertainment's Rolling Rick. They put a dance floor down and it got some serious use. Even as a bed for bored children during parent dances!
Congratulations Caroline and Vincent and thank you for letting me be a part of such an amazing day!
